Art exhibition to uncover the history of the Kominato Railway, a regional treasure, and connect it from the present to the future

In the spring of 2025, the Kominato Railway, a "regional treasure" running through the satoyama of Boso, will celebrate its 100th anniversary.

The Kominato Railway was opened in 1925 with 1,000 residents along the line as shareholders, and has supported regional development and people's lives as a key transportation system connecting the northern and southern parts of Ichihara City.

Station buildings and rolling stock that retain a strong Showa period flavor are popular attractions and have been loved by many railroad fans and local residents.

The history and charm of the Kominato Railway are illuminated through art, and the exhibition "Ko-o Imai ・ Hartei Aurai ！" will be held to connect the past, present, and future of this railroad.
