Kazufumi Yamashita \ \f1}[Conductor]

In 1984, he graduated from Toho Gakuen College and studied at the Berlin University of the Arts. In 1986, he won the first prize at the Nicolai ・ Marko International Competition for Conductors. Served as his assistant until Karajan's death. Since then, he has made a number of achievements in Europe, serving as Principal Guest Conductor of the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra ( and the Swedish ). In Japan, he made his debut conducting the NHK Symphony Orchestra, and since then he has regularly appeared with major orchestras in Japan to great acclaim. He has been Principal
Orchestra ・ Ensemble Kanazawa ・ Guest ・ Conductor, Permanent Conductor of the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, Permanent Conductor of the Osaka College of Music ・ College ・ Opera House Orchestra and Honorary Conductor of the same orchestra. He has been the Permanent Conductor of the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, the Permanent Conductor of the Opera House Orchestra of Osaka College of Music and the Honorary Conductor of the Opera House Orchestra of Osaka College of Music since April 2006. He is currently attracting more and more attention in both opera and orchestra. In April 2016, he assumed the position of Music Director of the Chiba Symphony Orchestra. Under the catchphrase "Oragamachi no orchestra," he actively conducts not only regular concerts but also music appreciation classes, aiming to make the orchestra loved by the people of Chiba Prefecture, and is steadily building the orchestra's reputation. As a professor of conducting at the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, he also devotes himself to the training of future generations.
He will assume the position of Music Director of the Aichi Chamber Orchestra and Permanent Conductor of the Osaka Symphony Orchestra in April 2022.


Daiji Miyata [Cello]

In 2009, Miyata became the first Japanese winner of the Rostropovich International Cello Competition. He has won all the competitions he has participated in so far. His overwhelming performance is highly supported by composers and collaborators, and has been acclaimed by world-renowned conductor ・ Seiji Ozawa, who has made him one of Japan's leading cellists on the international stage.
He graduated from the Geneva Conservatory in Switzerland and completed the Kronberg ・ Academy in Germany.
He studied cello with Sumiko Kurata and France ・ Helmerson, and chamber music with the Tokyo Quartet, Sadao Harada, Koichiro Harada, Tomoko Kato, Nobuko Imai, Richard ・ Young, Gabor ・ Takács, = Naji
. He has appeared in mass media such as "The Day I Talked with Mr. Seiji Ozawa on Music - Cellist ・ Dai Miyata ・ Age 25~", "Ongaku no Nai Ongakukai", "Tetsuko's Room", and "Classic TV".
He is also active in recording, his latest album being "Rachmaninoff : Cello ・ Sonata" in October 2022, and in 2019 he will release "Elgar : Cello Concerto" release. The European and U.S. recordings won one of the most prestigious prizes in the European classical world, the "OPUS KLASSIK 2021", in the Concerto category (Cello). Other releases include "Piazzolla" and "Travelogue".
In recent years, he has also been active in fostering young musicians by serving as a jury at international competitions and as an instructor at the 2019 Rohm Music Seminar.
He uses a 1698 A. Stradivarius "Cholmondeley" on loan from Ueno Seiyaku Co.
