Beware of Telephone Deception Victims ！.

[Beware of suspicious phone calls]

The other day, in Kisarazu City, we received a suspicious phone call from someone pretending to be our grandson,
saying, "I need money immediately, so please prepare it for me"
which we believe is a phone deception.
If "money" is mentioned on the phone, it is a scam.

The scammer's ultimate goal is to swindle you out of your money.
If you hear any talk of
"I will take your cash card"
"Please give me your card PIN number for identification"
"Please pay me the money"
you should suspect a scam.

Also, to keep you from making calm decisions, scammers will try to rush you.
If you hear a complaint such as, "If you don't take immediate action, you will be in big trouble,"
never panic, consult your family or the police, or look up the phone number and call back.

Please be especially careful around pension payment dates, as scam calls targeting the elderly tend to increase.


★ Family members on the phone （ Even if they use their real names ） ・ Police officers ・ Bank employees ・ Do not immediately trust anyone claiming to be a city hall employee, etc. and do not answer easily for personal information or whether they are at home.

★ Even if you are at home, it is effective to use the answering machine function and avoid talking to the person.

★ There are also many scams in which people try to take your cash card. Do not give your card to anyone else or your PIN under any circumstances.
