Today, September 21, is World Alzheimer's Day.

In 1994, the "International Alzheimer's Association" （ ADI ） in collaboration with the World Health Organization （ WHO ） established September 21 every year as "World Alzheimer's Day" to raise awareness of dementia around this date. In addition, since 2012, the month of September has been designated as "World Alzheimer's Month" and various initiatives have been undertaken.

Ichihara City has set up a related book corner in libraries, posted awareness posters in community centers, and displayed orange rings on the Sun Plaza Ichihara pedestrian deck.

In addition, a social gathering for people with dementia and their families is scheduled for September 27 （ Wed ） at Denny's Ichihara Kokubunjidai, and a dementia supporter training course will be held in October.
