Taking advantage of the unique stilted floor system in the main hall of Takakura-ji Temple, the entire body of the principal image, which until now has been considered a hidden object, can be viewed from beneath the floor at all times.
In addition, a new "Kannon Pure Land World Room," "Hell World Tour Room," and "Gokuraku World Tour Room" have been created around the main image, and a copy of the Hyakutai Kannon from ・ Bando ・ Chichibu in western Japan that was enshrined within the hall is relocated.
The "Kannon Pure Land World ・ Hell and Paradise Picture" by Kawaguchi Umarin, dedicated on the underfloor wall, allows everyone from children to the elderly to understand and relate to Buddhist teachings at a glance.
The story of the main characters, a raccoon dog and a kappa, who are about to fall into hell, are guided by Kannon (Goddess of Mercy) on a pilgrimage to the Pure Land of Kannon and safely arrive at the Pure Land of Kannon, is shown in 28 pictures.
