Lecture on Prefectural History in 2022

Rules of Office in Clan Society ～ Life and Work in the Sekijuku Clan as a Case Study ～.

In order to introduce the history of Chiba Prefecture and to deepen understanding and attachment to our hometown Chiba, we will hold the 2022 "Prefectural History Lecture" using the results of our staff's research and study of old documents.

Theme ： Rules of Office in Clan Society ～ Life and Work of the Sekijuku Clan as a Case Study ～

Lecturer ： Takeo Namie, Chiba Prefectural Archives fiscal year appointment staff
Contents ： What kind of rules did Edo period clan members live under? What were the rules under which the Edo period feudal lords lived? The way they received their stipend, the rules regarding illness and death in the family, and the disciplinary actions taken against them are not only indicative of the times, but are also relevant to modern society. These office regulations provide an insight into the realities of clan society.
