The 116th Lecture on Regional Culture in Boso

◎100 years after his death, painter ・ Life of Keisuke Yanagi, Mr. Shigeo Watanabe (Kimitsu City Cultural Properties Council Member)

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Keisuke Yanagi, a famous Western-style painter from Izumi, Kimitsu City.
We will talk about the life and way of life of Keisuke Yanagi, who was active in the dawn of Western-style painting in Japan, including new paintings left behind in Boso, Kyoto, etc., and his encounters with Kotaro Takamura, Rokuzan Ogihara, Mr. and Mrs. Nakamuraya Shinjuku, and others.
