According to the Railway Establishment Law promulgated in 1892, the railroad from the Sobu Line, which runs through Chiba to Choshi, to Kisarazu, which is a branch of the Sobu Line, was also
considered a scheduled line. However, the actual railroad network in the prefecture, starting with the opening of the Ichikawa ・ Sakura line in 1894, expanded around the northern
part of the prefecture, but the construction of railroads in the southern part of Uchibo ・ Prefecture did not make much progress.　
The railroad to Kisarazu was opened in August 1912, and in December of the same year, the Kururi Line, a prefectural light railway, also opened.
During this period, the government, prefectural authorities, and local residents planned the construction of many different railroads.
We would like to introduce the railroad construction plans in the region that have been neglected so far, and also to show the thoughts that people put into their railroad plans.
