Umijiro （ Umijiro ） Summit 2025 inChiba ✨ underway

January 12, 2025 ～ A summit is being held on May 7 to revitalize the Uchibo Line and introduce the charm of "Umijo" castle.

Meeting ： TJK Resort Kanaya Castle 1st floor front desk 20 min walk from JR Kanaya Station 900 yen for materials, insurance, etc. （ Reservations required, first 40 people per session ）
Others ： Light rain or shine ・ Cancelled in case of bad weather
*There is no parking lot, so please refrain from bringing your car.
*Please wear trekking shoes and bring slippers.

◎What is the Umijo Summit ？
Edo Bay was once also called "Uchiumi （ Uchiumi ）" and during the Warring States Period In the Warring States period, fierce battles over control of the sea were fought repeatedly between the Satomi Suigun and the Hojo Suigun. For this reason, many "Umijo (sea castle) （ Umijiro (sea castle) ）" were built along the Uchibo coast to protect Minato （ Minato ）. Many of these "sea castles" still exist along the Uchibo Line in Chiba Prefecture, including camps built in the early modern period for the purpose of defending the sea against foreign vessels, as they are linked from station to station.
This summit started the year before last with the aim of revitalizing the Uchibo Line and conveying the charm of the "sea castle" from various perspectives to everyone. This year, the Uchibo Line will be enlivened with the following events. All of the events are of a high quality worthy of the Summit's name, and we are sure that you will be glad to have participated.
